Life After Care Courses

Many young people from foster care don’t learn the necessary life skills to transition into adulthood. Our group workshops, called Life After Care courses, designed by those who have been through the foster care system, teach critical topics on the transition to adulthood, such as healthy relationships, budgeting and car maintenance.

Past and current topics include:

  • Housing
  • Car maintenance
  • Healthy relationships
  • Foster-care specific funding for education
  • Public transportation
  • Resumes and employment
  • Trades careers and education
  • Community college and four-year colleges

Our courses are not currently open to the public, but are instead taught through a variety of community partnerships including Utah Division of Child and Family Services, Catholic Community Services, First Star Academy and Common Thread.

We hope to open courses to the public in the future. If you would like to receive a notice that courses are open to the public, please sign up here.
