Complete Goals through Resource Navigation
For young adults requiring more targeted assistance, we offer resource navigation, a support level launched in fall 2025. This service is designed to respond within 24–48 hours and focus on achieving a clearly defined goal over a short period of time.
After a young person reaches out, they meet with a 1999 Collective member who is a foster care alum. This lived-expert support is critical for trust-building. In partnership with the young person, we make and work toward a three-month goal.
Through resource navigation, we have supported young adults in applying for FAFSA and scholarships, completing Section 42 housing applications, resolving three-day pay-or-vacate notices to prevent eviction, navigating landlord disputes, and more.
“You made the process so much easier to understand. Thank you for doing it with me and not just telling me to do it.”
