Family Fellowship Scholarship Program
Basic Information
Responsible Agency: Foster Love
Amount: $60,000 scholarship for up to 5 years of undergraduate studies- budgeted for $12,000 per year
Timeline for Application: Open on Monday, March 4th, 2024, and closes on Friday, May 3rd, 2024.
Once closed, applications will not be accepted until the following year.
Can Spend On: Tuition assistance, housing, academic supplies, relocation, professional and career development, mentoring, wellness, study abroad, and other college-related expenses.
How $ is Awarded: Scholarship recipients are awarded their $12,000 allotment at the beginning of the fall semester which carries through the spring/summer semester of the following year or until annual funding is exhausted for the year. The scholarship is not a lump-sum award, rather recipients work closely with our scholarship coordinators to pay any outstanding balances directly.
Scholars are awarded a monthly living allowance for basic needs and can make requests for funding at any time.
For Whom: The applicant must be 18-23 years of age during the application year. Applicants aged seventeen (17) years old can apply with a guardian's signature. Applicants turning twenty-four (24) years before June 1st of the application year can apply.
The applicant has been accepted to or expects acceptance to an accredited, Pell-eligible college or other post-secondary institution, and is attempting to complete an undergraduate degree.
The applicant graduated with a high school diploma or GED, or is currently a high school senior, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 or higher. If currently attending college, a 2.5 CGPA is also required.
The applicant is a citizen of the United States of America.
The applicant has lived in foster care while living in the United States.
The applicant had either (a) lived in public or private foster care for the twelve (12) consecutive months leading up to and including the applicant's eighteenth (18th) birthday; OR (b) was adopted or placed into legal guardianship from foster care after the applicants thirteenth (13th) birthday, OR (c) was orphaned for at least one (1) year at the time of Recipient's eighteenth (18th) birthday.
The goal of this program is to create a family-like environment for scholars as they embark on their college journey. Scholarship recipients are budgeted $12,000 a year in scholarship funding. There is no specific amount that has to be spent per expense category, rather the funds are applied to where it's needed the most for scholars.
SchoolHouse Connection Scholarship

Students are Eligible If They:
Are currently residing in the United States (undocumented applicants are eligible)
Were born on or after June 1, 2004
Are beginning college (four year, community college, or trade school) for the First Time in 2025 (not including dual-enrollment courses)
Experienced homelessness in the last six years
NSORO Foundation Scholarship
Basic Information
Responsible Agency: NSORO Foundation
All youth currently in foster care, aged-out, and emancipated youth are encouraged to apply.
Amount: Direct academic scholarships, executive-level coaching, mentorship, and workforce readiness programs for youth aging out of foster care nationwide.

May 31, 2024: Applicants Notified

How $ is Awarded: To be Announced
Students are Eligible If They:
Certify that they are currently in foster care, a ward of the state, or eligible for ILP, having aged out of foster care as a young adult.
Be a high school graduate or equivalent with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Have been accepted into an accredited, Pell-eligible college or another post-secondary school.
We support youth ages 16-26. You must be under the age of 26 at the time you submit your application.
Be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.
One Simple Wish Scholarship
Basic Information
Responsible Agency: One Simple Wish
Amount: $7,500 Direct academic scholarship to 20 selected applicants
Timeline for Application:
March 25, 2024: Application Opens
April 19, 2024: Application Closes
No applications will be accepted after 11:59 PM EST, April 19, 2024. No exceptions.
Only applications completed and submitted through the direct form will be reviewed.

How $ is Awarded: To be announced..
Students are Eligible If They:
Be at least 17 years of age and have either aged out of foster care, will be again out of foster care, or had a disrupted adoption.
Hold at least a 2.2 cumulative high school or college GPA (whichever was most recent)
Meet eligibility to receive federal and state financial aid and have already applied via FAFSA
Have already been accepted to a community college, university, or accredited vocational school and be fully enrolled for the 2024/2025 school year.
